Brad Ashman MD
Dr. Brad Ashman relocated to Nanaimo from Prince George, BC, in September 2023. He joined Nanaimo Orthopaedics from a full-time comprehensive orthopaedic practice at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia.
He graduated with a degree from the University of British Columbia before completing medical school and his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of British Columbia. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Dr. Ashman was a staff orthopaedic surgeon in Prince George from 2018-2023.
Dr. Ashman has an interest in orthopaedic education and has performed and published research on ACL reconstruction and trauma of the shoulder and ankle.

- Open and arthroscopic joint preservation surgery/reconstruction of the shoulder and knee
- Primary hip, knee and shoulder replacement
- Orthopaedic trauma surgery of the upper and lower limbs
- General/comprehensive orthopaedic conditions of the upper and lower extremities
